Executive Director, North Los Angeles County Regional Center
Pao-Johnson was named executive director of North Los Angeles County Regional Center last year, replacing former Executive Director Ruth Janka, who retired earlier that year. Pao-Johnson previously held the role on an interim basis. The North Los Angeles County Regional Center served more than 35,000 customers as of last year, helping people with developmental disabilities, as well as their families. Its coverage area includes the San Fernando, Santa Clarita and Antelope Valleys. Pao-Johnson has more than 20 years of experience helping those with developmental disabilities. She started her career as a behavioral health practitioner before working her way up to chief executive of a behavior therapy agency.
