Executive-in-Residence, California State University-Northridge
San Fernando Valley native Greuel has been the executive-in-residence at CSUN’s Nazarian College of Business and Economics since 2016. Best known as the second woman elected to a citywide office, she served as Los Angeles City Controller from 2009 to 2013. Before that, the UCLA graduate worked for Mayor Tom Bradley and then as a field operations officer for the Department of Housing and Urban Development in Southern California during President Bill Clinton’s administration, where she was central to the response and recovery efforts following the 1994 Northridge earthquake. In 2002, Greuel was elected to the Los Angeles City Council before becoming the controller.
