Gribbons is the president of Los Angeles Valley College, one of the largest of the nine campuses in the L.A. County college district, with more than 18,000 students. He has held this position since 2019. The school primarily serves the communities of Valley Glen, Van Nuys, North Hollywood, Valley Village, Studio City, Sherman Oaks, Encino, Lake Balboa, Panorama City and Burbank. Before his current role, Gribbons spent 19 years at the College of the Canyons, including four as Deputy Chancellor. His experience also includes a period from 1996 to 1999 at UCLA’s Center for the Study of Evaluation, where he was a senior researcher and project director coordinating large-scale education reforms for underserved students.
