President, Porto’s Bakery
As the president of the popular Cuban bakery started by his parents, Porto Jr. has grown the family-owned and run company. He oversaw the opening of the Northridge location in 2022, and this year, he managed the start of construction on the newest Porto’s location in Downtown Disney in Anaheim.
Porto’s decision to open a Downtown Disney location on the site of the former La Brea Bakery was announced to much fanfare during the D23 Expo in 2022. La Brea Bakery closed in early 2023 to make way for the new Porto’s location.
In addition to its food and drinks, Porto’s Bakery is known throughout the area for its support of nonprofit organizations like The Los Angeles Union Mission, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and Make-A-Wish Foundation.​
