President, Chief Executive, Conrad N. Hilton Foundation
Peter Laugharn serves as president and chief executive of the Westlake Village-based Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, one of the largest private philanthropic organizations in the nation, established in 1944. Laugharn has spent nearly three decades working in the foundation and nonprofit sectors. Under his leadership last year, the Foundation awarded more than $300 million in grants across seven initiatives, including homelessness, foster youth, safe water, refugees, and early childhood development, with a targeted investment in L.A. County. Prior to the Foundation, Laugharn was the executive director of the Firelight Foundation, a nonprofit that supports African charitable organizations, and also led the Bernard van Leer Foundation.
