Valley 200 2026: Lee Harrison

Scout Executive, Chief Executive, Western Los Angeles Council, Scouting America

As scout executive and chief executive of the Van Nuys-based Western Los Angeles County Council of Scouting America, Lee Harrison oversees a budget approaching $10 million, four programs serving roughly 4,500 youth and 2,000 adult volunteers, and camping operations that reach more than 13,000 participants annually on Catalina Island and beyond. The January 2025 Palisades Fire tested that stewardship, destroying the council’s 83-year-old Camp Josepho in the Santa Monica Mountains. Harrison directed the council’s focus toward scouting families who lost homes. A Cal Poly Humboldt graduate, he’s also a competitive Ironman triathlete.
