Chief Executive, Sylmar Studios
Tony Guanci, a veteran executive and entrepreneur with more than 35 years in the entertainment and commercial real estate industries, invested $500 million to establish Sylmar Studios, the San Fernando Valley’s most ambitious purpose-built production campus. Recognizing the demand during the pandemic-era streaming surge, Guanci founded the studio in 2019. He partnered with developer Xebec Realty Partners to bring the 230,000-square-foot facility to life in an Opportunity Zone community. Sylmar Studios is already expanding, with two additional stages opening in 2026, and Guanci is also pursuing a second studio campus in Louisville, Kentucky. The studio earned a Community Impact Award from the Los Angeles Business Council in 2024.
