Hong Q. Hou has led Camarillo-based Semtech Corp. since June 2024, steering the semiconductor and IoT connectivity firm through financial stabilization and a significant expansion of its artificial intelligence infrastructure and data center portfolio. Hou assumed the role from the board, where he had served since July 2023. His resume also includes executive credentials from Intel Corp., Brooks Automation, Fabrinet West Inc., AXT Inc. and Encore Corp. His tenure at Intel produced breakout results in silicon photonics for hyperscale data centers. Hou holds a Ph.D. in electrical engineering and serves on the board of Wolfspeed.
