Trio Take Reins at Warner Bros. Pictures

Warner Bros. Entertainment has promoted three long-time executives in a move to bring new leadership to its motion picture division. The announcement of additional duties for Sue Kroll, Greg Silverman, and Toby Emmerich was made Monday. Leaving the Burbank studio is Jeff Robinov, president of Warner Bros. Pictures Group since 2007. Robinov was involved in a power struggle to replace outgoing Chairman Barry Meyer, but with his departure the last man standing is Warner Bros. Chief Executive Kevin Tsujihara. The combined experience of Kroll, Silverman and Emmerich will maintain Warner Bros. Pictures as a leader in production, marketing, and global distribution, said Tsujihara. “I have every confidence that we will continue to deliver the industry’s most compelling, popular and successful movies,” Tsujihara said in a prepared statement. Kroll, president of worldwide marketing at Warner Bros. Pictures, will add international distribution to her duties. She has been with the company since 1994. Silverman will now serve as president, creative development and worldwide production. He previously had been president of production and executive vice president, creative development and production at Warner Bros. Pictures. Emmerich, executive producer of such films as “Wedding Crasher,” “Horrible Bosses” and “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey,” remains as president and chief operating office of New Line Cinema. His added duties include overseeing Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures, the live stage play division of Warner Bros. Entertainment.
