Founding Chief Executive, LA County Business Federation
Hernandez is the founding chief executive of the Los Angeles County Business Federation, also known as BizFed. The organization is one of the county’s largest business organizations, representing more than 420,000 businesses and their 5 million employees. Its goal is to impact public policy on behalf of those businesses, advocating for political changes and regulations. Its annual Bizzi Awards honor local business leaders. Outside of BizFed, Hernandez is the co-founder of the New California Coalition, which works to impact the state government on behalf of businesses. Before starting BizFed, she was the first female publisher of the Los Angeles Daily News.
