President, Valley Industry & Commerce Association
Waldman is the president of the Valley Industry & Commerce Association, a business advocacy organization in the Valley also known as VICA. The organization, which has its offices in Van Nuys, was founded in 1949 and has grown to represent more than 1.8 million residents and 245,000 businesses. Waldman has been its president since 2008. Prior to joining VICA, Waldman spent 11 years working for the state assembly as a representative for the San Fernando Valley. Waldman was also an appointed member on the California Board of Accountancy from 2001 to 2008. His board appointments include the California State University Northridge Foundation, the Los Angeles Press Club and LA28.
