President, Chief Executive, Conrad N. Hilton Foundation
Laugharn is the president and chief executive of Westlake Village-based Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, which was established in 1944. Laugharn has been working with foundations and nonprofits, focusing on vulnerable children, for more than 25 years. Before his most recent role, Laugharn was the executive director of the Firelight Foundation, which aids African nonprofits serving vulnerable children and families, from 2008 to 2014; as executive director of the Netherlands-based Bernard van Leer Foundation, which helps improve opportunities for young children; and spent 11 years at Save the Children. He is a graduate of Stanford and Georgetown Universities. He also served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Morocco.
