General Manager for Southern California, Cigna Healthcare Inc.
Closson became Cigna Healthcare’s general manager for Southern California in August 2023, bringing over 30 years of experience to the company. This includes six previous years with Cigna Healthcare as vice president of sales and account management. In his current role, he has been responsible for driving growth for clients with fewer than 3,000 employees. Before rejoining Cigna in 2023, he worked with Health Net of California Inc., where he initially served as the director of major accounts and later as the director of large group. He also held significant roles at Anthem Blue Cross, UnitedHealth Group, Blue Shield of California, and Great-West Healthcare. Closson earned a bachelor’s degree in international relations from USC.
