Spector is the chair and chief executive of Pennymac Financial Services. Founded in 2008, the firm comprises Pennymac Financial Services Inc. (PFSI), a mortgage lender and servicer, and Pennymac Mortgage Investment Trust (PMT), a residential mortgage real estate investment trust. Spector has been a member of both boards since their inception and was appointed chief executive of both companies in 2017. In 2021, he became chair of both the PFSI and PMT boards, overseeing discussions on new initiatives and strategic priorities, facilitating internal board communication and ensuring proper oversight of key matters. Prior to his current role, he served as the company’s president and chief operating officer.
