Founder, President, Poms & Associates
Poms is the president and founder of Poms & Associates, an independent commercial insurance brokerage and risk-management firm based in Calabasas. Founded in 1991, the company ranks among the top 50 privately held brokerage firms in the United States, generating annual revenue exceeding $50 million. Poms was inducted into the Insurance Business America’s Hall of Fame in 2020, the same year he was also awarded Executive of the Year by Business Intelligence Group and U.S. Entrepreneur of the Year in Insurance by the American Business Awards. Prior to his current role, he served as senior vice president of risk management sales at Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. He serves on the board of the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Foundation.
