When Tucker co-founded BlackLine in 2001, she cashed out of her retirement savings to launch the company. BlackLine, which sells an automated accounting software solution to companies like eBay Inc. and Coca-Cola Co., ran with Tucker at the helm until 2021, when she stepped down. During her tenure, she transitioned the company to the cloud in 2007 and oversaw BlackLine becoming a public company in 2016 on the Nasdaq. She re-joined the company as a co-chief executive in 2023. Before creating BlackLine, Tucker was the chief technology officer at SunGuard, a services firm for the IT industry. She graduated from the University of Illinois.
