Kurtz is chair of the Franchise Practice Group at the Lewitt Hackman law firm, based in Encino. He represents franchisors and franchisees in national and regional restaurant, retail and service businesses. Kurtz has been certified as a legal specialist in franchise and distribution law by the State Bar of California’s Board of Legal Specialization and was recently recognized by his peers in The Best Lawyers in America as among the top 5% of attorneys nationwide in franchise law. He has been named a Trusted Advisor by the Business Journal several times in the last 16 years.
