The stock market showed marginal growth during the two-week period ended April 2 as tensions continued between Russia and Ukraine. The Dow Jones ended with a 2.2 percent gain. The Valley 50 remained nearly flat with an increase of just 0.1 percent. Mannkind Corp. led as the top gainer at 23 percent after an FDA panel gave its okay to diabetes drug Afrezza. Kythera Biopharmaceuticals Inc. had the biggest drop at 13 percent despite getting closer to seeking U.S. approval of its chin fat reduction treatment. After a strong period, Capstone Turbine Corp. fell by 7 percent over concerns by investors about its long-term profits.
