The Valley 50 moved up along with the broader market for the two-week period ended Oct. 23. Investor confidence returned with the end of the federal government shutdown. In the Valley, Walt Disney Co. hit an all-time high in share price closing at $69 on Oct. 22, beating its previous record of $67.67 in May. The Burbank entertainment conglomerate also had the highest volume for the period with about 7 million shares trading hands. The biggest gainer for the period was information service firm Research Solutions Inc., which jumped more than 16 percent after reporting strong quarterly results. The biggest loser was IT company Netsol Technologies Inc., which dropped 14 percent.
