Valley 200 2026: Kurt Koloseike

Chief Executive, Hanson Lab Solutions

Kurt Koloseike took over as chief executive of Camarillo-based Hanson Lab Solutions in November 2025, stepping into one of the San Fernando Valley’s quieter success stories. In nearly 50 years of business, the laboratory furniture maker has grown into the largest single-source supplier of steel lab casework in the American West.
Founded in 1977, Hanson Lab Solutions designs, engineers and installs its own products in-house — a one-stop model Koloseike says is its defining competitive advantage. “We’re not waiting for a manufacturer, waiting for a designer, waiting for an installer, or waiting for an outside party,” he told the Business Journal in February. “We are the solution.”
The company appeared on the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing private companies for the third consecutive time in 2025, posting a three-year revenue growth rate of 56%. That momentum is being driven in part by a market shift away from the generic “spec labs” that dominated pandemic-era construction and back toward custom, end-user-specific facilities — precisely where Hanson’s bespoke manufacturing capabilities give it an edge. With roughly 80 percent of its customers historically concentrated in California, Koloseike has set his sights on expanding into the Boston-Cambridge life sciences corridor, ranked the premier life sciences cluster in the U.S. with more than 56 million square feet of lab space.
