Jane Skeeter gives acceptance speech after being named this year’s award recipient.
Jane Skeeter, the founder and chief executive of UltraGlas Inc. in Chatsworth, was given the Fernando Award Sept. 9 at a black-tie gala at the Skirball Center.Â
The Fernando is awarded to a person who exemplifies the spirit of volunteerism. Skeeter has long been involved with the Boy and Girls Club of the West Valley as well as Woodbury University, among others.
Other finalists for the award: Steve Fazio, the president and owner of Fazio Cleaners and Laundry; Kathleen Sterling, publisher of the Valley News Group; Kevin Tamaki, Tamaki Consulting; and Sharon Udkoff, a certified public accountant.
