Regional parcel courier trucking company 1st Choice Delivery has signed a 25,202 square-foot industrial lease for an undisclosed cost at San Fernando Business Center in the city of San Fernando. Bennett Robinson of CBRE represented landlord Rexford Industrial in the transaction. The tenant, which is relocating its greater Los Angeles market headquarters from Santa Clarita, was represented by Paul Sims and Harry Krausman of Cushman & Wakefield. Located at 635 8th St., the property features dock-high loading and 24 foot clearance. The facility, which will enable the courier trucking company to service the San Fernando and Santa Clarita valleys, sits in proximity to the 210, 5, 405 and 118 freeways. This aspect made the location attractive to the company. “This location is ideal for logistics companies as it is located in a great distribution area and amidst a great workforce,” said Robinson. According to CBRE research, the greater Los Angeles industrial sector continues to enjoy solid fundamentals of limited supply and strong demand. In the face of scarce industrial inventory, tenants continue to lease space in the face of ever higher rental rates and increasing operating expenses, which has caused investment volumes in the sector to continue to expand.
