NBCU Cable Entertainment has formed a new lifestyle network group combining four of its cable TV channels under the direction an 18-year company veteran. Frances Berwick will have oversight duties for Bravo, Oxygen Media, E! Entertainment and Esquire Network for the cable division of NBCUniversal in New York and west coast operations in Universal City, the company announced Tuesday. Additionally, Adam Stotsky, president of Esquire Network, was named as general manager of E! Entertainment. Bonnie Hammer, chairwoman of NBCU Cable Entertainment, said the re-organization more closely aligns the four channels with how they are offered to the viewers. “In a crowded, constantly evolving media landscape, it’s more important than ever to have a business structure that not only delivers results today, but also sets a course with the right leadership for future success,” Hammer said in a prepared statement. Berwick has been with NBCUniversal since 1996. She was named president of Bravo in 2010 and president of Oxygen Media in 2013. As the head of E! Entertainment, she will be responsible for original programming to help grow the channel’s viewership and brand awareness. Stotsky has held management positions at cable channels Syfy and G4, and also served as president of marketing for NBC Entertainment. He was named president of Esquire Network in 2013.
