Certified Management Group, a marketing agency specializing in food and beverage brands, on Wednesday named former Coca-Cola Co. executive Doug Middlebrooks as its chief growth officer. The Glendale company chose Middlebrooks to take the lead with senior level partnerships, reporting directly to Hal Kravitz, president and chairman of CMG. “I’m delighted to welcome Doug to the CMG family,” said Kravitz in a statement. “He has an impressive reputation for being an innovative team leader, strategic business plan architect and market-focused problem solver, while maintaining an unrelenting focus on serving his company’s customers.” Middlebrooks brings more than 30 years of experience from his time at Coca-Cola, starting his career with Minute Maid Co. and working his way up to leadership positions, most recently as assistant vice president of shopper marketing. “I can’t imagine a more exciting time to join CMG,” said Middlebrooks in a statement. “The company holds a unique position as a leader in non-traditional outlets where brands are built these days.
