HEALTHCARE Gerald J. Sullivan was elected to the board of directors of Partners in Care Foundation, a nonprofit health care and social services organization based in San Fernando. He is chairman of the Sullivan Group. Sullivan has served as Chief Deputy Insurance Commissioner for the State of Washington. He has headed the Medical Malpractice program for the California Hospital Association as well as the Western Hospital Association. In addition to the Sullivan Group serving as a reinsurance and wholesale intermediary, it developed the Structured Settlements Claims Disposition process. LAW Thousand Oaks resident Gene Coppa joined Ballard Spahr Andrews & Ingersoll LLP as an associate in the resort and hotel, real estate finance, real estate development and planned condominium groups. Coppa focuses his practice in the resort and condominium development and real estate finance sectors. His expertise included undivided interest and cooperative formation, fractional ownership plans, state and federal filing, advertising and real estate development registration. MANUFACTURING Susan Pucelli, Robert Fisher and Theresa Shook have joined LA ProPoint, a designer, fabricator and installer of state and show systems based in Sun Valley. Pucelli, a senior project manager, and Fisher, a project manager, will supervise existing projects, accept new opportunities, and expand the company’s breadth of commissions. Shook will grow the company’s ability to transform clients’ concepts from ideas to workable blueprints. Pucelli previously worked for Universal Studios, Scenario Design, and MICE Creative. Fisher has worked for Lexington Scenery and Global Entertainment. Shook has worked on projects at Disneyland and Disney’s California Adventure. BRC Imagination Arts in Burbank announced three promotions within its ranks. Christian Lachel has become vice president, brand experience; Tisa Poe becomes vice president, educational attractions and experiences; and Rob Wyatt becomes vice president, entertainment experiences. All three will be responsible for the operations, marketing and growth of their respective groups. Thousand Oaks-based Teledyne Technologies Inc. announced two promotions. Rhett C. Ross takes over as president of Teledyne Continental Motors, Inc., a maker of piston aircraft engines and control systems headquartered in Mobile, Ala. Ross replaces Bryan L. Lewis who retires in February. Chris T. Kuehn becomes president of Teledyne Energy Systems Inc., based in Maryland. Kuehn previously served as vice president of commercial products, hydrogen generators, at Teledyne Energy Systems. MARKETING JoLee Sturgell has joined Bear Enthusiast Marketing as a managing account executive. In that position Sturgell will be responsible in managing public relations efforts, assisting with client account management, and working to further expand business development opportunities in new and existing markets. REAL ESTATE Justin Miller and Randy Wigginton were both appointed to lead the development of online website Move.com. Miller previously served as senior director with eBay Europe. Prior to joining Move.com, Wigginton was an engineer for Quigo Inc. Miller will be in charge of product management, user research, competitive insight and new product launching and execution. Wigginton will lead the development of the company’s websites. Development and homebuilding veteran David Pitts has been hired as President of the Los Angeles/Ventura Division of John Lang Homes. His responsibilities will include land acquisition and day-to-day management of JLH product development and homebuilding operations in Los Angeles and Ventura Counties. Pitts previously served for 8 years as Vice President of Acquisition for the Los Angeles/Central Coast Division of Centex Homes. RESTAURANTS Christopher Ribeiro has been named as general manager at Arnie Morton’s The Steakhouse in Burbank. Ribeiro has served the Morton’s Restaurant Group for eight years. He previously worked at locations in Boston, Baltimore, Washington, D.C., Dallas and Beverly Hills before assignment in Burbank as day manager and then assistant manager. SALES Bob Blisten has taken a sales post with Storm Value Video in Sun Valley. He previously served as vice president at Dane Productions. STAFFING Roger Trinh was appointed as account manager for Workway, a Burbank company providing direct hire employees to banks, credit unions, settlement services, and mortgage lenders. Trinh will work in the company’s office in Chicago. Trinh has seven years of experience in the field of staffing, and has assisted in the development of administrative payroll services and staffing industry. In addition, Trinh has also led a financial temporary and permanent position in a Chicago-based recruiting firm. TECHNOLOGY Rita Benoy Bushon has been elected to the board of directors of Electronic Sensor Technology based in Newbury Park. Bushon has served as executive director and as a member of the executive committee of Land & General Berhad, the company’s largest shareholder. EST designs and manufactures odor and chemical vapor detection systems. Guy W. Adams has been named as an independent director on the board of directors for Vitesse Semiconductor Corp. Adams is founder and managing director of GWA Capital Partners LLC, an equity investment firm. Michael Connolly has joined as vice president, service sales at Data Exchange Corp., a Camarillo supply chain solutions provider. Connolly will work at the company’s Dublin, Ireland facility. Prior to joining DEX, Connolly served as general manager at Centis (Ireland) Limited/Founders Ltd. Kinsealy. Yuri Pikover has joined the board of directors of Gumiyo Mobile Classifieds Service. Pikover has previously served as co-founder of Xylan Corp., as CEO of Access 360, and as a developer of systems supporting automotive dealerships. Woodland Hills-based Gumiyo connects buyers and sellers by extending the online marketplace to mobile phones.
