New Director Appointed at Qualstar

Stanley W. Corker was appointed a position on the Board of Directors at Qualstar Corp., a manufacturer of automated tape storage solutions in Simi Valley. Due to the death of Jose M. Miyer last October, Mr. Corker the open position the Board. He will also work on the Audit and Compensation Committees. Corker is currently the Director of Technology Research and a partner of Emerald Asset Management, an investment management firm. He has over 20 years of experience in the data storage industry and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Computing Science from the University of Essex in England. The Nasdaq Stock Market requires that companies listed with them have at least three independent directors on its Audit Committee. Now that Corker will be taking his place on the Board, Qualstar is once again in compliance with the requirement.
