Centex Gets Top Ranking

Centex Homes received the highest ranking for customer satisfaction in the Los Angeles and Ventura counties in the recently released New-Home Builder Customer Satisfaction Study by J.D. Power and Associates. Centex took the top rating based on 10 factors including builder’s warranty, home readiness, sales staff, construction manager, quality of workmanship and other factors. The company is currently building or selling new homes in Santa Clarita, Thousand Oaks, Chatsworth and West Hills. The study also revealed that the number of construction problems experienced by new home buyer is on the rise, with buyers reporting an average of 14 problems with their new home, a 7 percent increase over 2005. The study found that the most frequently occurring construction problems in the L.A. and Ventura county areas involve kitchen cabinet quality and finish, sink, tub and shower stall plumbing and kitchen plumbing.
