Camarillo Videoconferencing Firm Acquires Boston Business

Camarillo-based Providea, Inc. announced today that it has acquired Boston-based Vider & #233; Conferencing, Inc. The move follows the recent recapitalization and growth equity investment of WestView Capital Partners in Providea. The combined video conferencing company will have 18 locations throughout the U.S., all of which will operate under the name of Providea Conferencing, LLC. The CEO of the new entity, Tom Bailey, said, “Providea and Vider & #233; may have originated on opposite coasts, but we share a similar philosophy toward customer service and our outlook on the significant opportunities in this industry. The combination of our two companies strengthens our nationwide capabilities as well as reinforces our customer support. We look forward to leading the industry in this next phase of video conferencing.” Management of Vider & #233; will continue to retain a significant ownership stake in the company.
