Talon International Inc.’s Tekfit stretch technology is now in dress shirts that PVH Corp. is shipping to stores, the company announced Tuesday. The Woodland Hills supplier of zippers and apparel fasteners signed an agreement with PVH, a New York apparel company that owns the Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger brands, in May to incorporate Tekfit into its line of Van Heusen men’s shirts. PVH has launched the Van Heusen Flex Collar shirts at Kohl’s, J.C. Penney and Macy’s. The flex collars allow for half an inch of expandable stretch without wrinkling or compromising the collar. “PVH’s early success with their Flex Collar dress shirts supports our continued research and development of various applications for our Tekfit stretch technologies, which can now be found in waistbands and pocketing,” Larry Dyne, Talon chief executive, said in a statement. “We look forward to continued success with PVH, as well as other key Tekfit customers.” Shares closed up 3 cents, or nearly 30 percent to 14 cents in over-the-counter trading.
