North Hollywood nonprofit, The International Myeloma Foundation (IMF), announced the launch of the Myeloma Post, a comprehensive disease-specific cancer iPad application for patients, doctors and caregivers. Developed by the IMF, the app offers regular access to medical news, educational programs, quality-of-life support resources and advocacy activities in addition to patient caregiver and medical blogs and communities. The IMF is an organization that specializes in the education, research, support and advocacy of myeloma to better improve the lives of the victims and families impacted by the disease. “The creation of the Myeloma Post mobile app was a natural evolution of our longstanding history of finding new and better ways to keep patients and caregivers well informed and up-to-date,” Susie Novis, IMF co-founder and president, said in a prepared statement. “Our new app now joins the long list of creative and informative programs the IMF has developed including Patient and Family Seminars, the IMF hotline, and our vast library of multi-lingual materials to ensure members of the myeloma community have everything they need to make informed treatment decisions.” Angela Melero
