The California Wellness Foundation has awarded the Valley Community Clinic of North Hollywood a $150,000 grant in support of its new Prenatal Center serving low-income women. The clinic launched prenatal services in February of 2011 and has since sought funding for a dedicated coordinator and other supportive functions. The grant will enable the clinic to enhance and expand the center to provide care to hundreds of women. The California Wellness Foundation has long been a supporter of the clinic and its programs, which has been providing services to uninsured and underserved community residents since 1970, and tallies more than 60,000 patient visits a year.
