Supervisor, Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors
Barger is the chair of the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors for the 2024-2025 term, a role in which she pledged to improve collaboration and public participation. She was appointed to her second tenure as chair in 2024 following her re-election as Supervisor for her third and final term. Representing the 5th district, Barger is responsible for the well-being of nearly two million people residing in 20 cities and 83 unincorporated communities in the Antelope, Crescenta, San Fernando, San Gabriel and Santa Clarita Valleys. Her career in public service started as an intern in the office of former Supervisor Michael Antonovich.
