President, Chief Executive, Public Storage
Russell serves as chief executive and president of Public Storage, a Glendale-based provider of personal, rentable storage units. The company operates more than 3,300 facilities across the U.S., serving nearly two million customers. Russell brings more than 33 years of experience in the industry and 20 years serving as a key member of the broader Public Storage team. Before being named chief executive in January 2019, Russell served as president since July 2016, with a focus on new initiatives and the growth of the portfolio through acquisitions and development. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern California and MBA from Harvard University Business School.
